As a company and employer, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is important to us and we’re committed to donating 1% of our turnover as a combination of time, resources or money to good causes. This includes actively supporting the following projects:
The “Wells on Wheels” campaign, being championed by our website partners at Digimax Dental, aims to stamp out the employment of girls as young as 7 who have no choice but to be involved in the arduous task of transporting water. No child should have to go through this. We wouldn’t let our own children do this, so by raising funds to buy and supply families and villages with the Water Wheel (costing just £28 per wheel) we’re looking to change the future and give the women and girls a chance to do other things with their time, such as work and education.

There are millions of orphaned and vulnerable children in South Africa, mostly due to HIV/AIDS. LIV focuses on a solution to aid this crisis by placing these children into a family environment with a trained foster mother to love them, a school to educate them, and where all their needs are met. If these children are equipped with essential moral values and life skills, they will grow up to be a generation that will influence positive change within South Africa, Africa and the world.
Chris Strevens, co-owner and director of Frank Taylor & Associates, is a trustee of LIV UK, the UK’s fundraising arm of the village and one of his daughters, Katherine, was a long term volunteer and lived on the village & met her husband Dev who was a teacher at LIV. They now volunteer in another charity in Cape Town called Tree of Life which is helping to ‘heal’ the local community that is still affected by the past injustices of South Africa.

The Magic Dentist brings the tricks of a magician into his surgery to entertain and educate children during their visit. The Magic Dentist also equips parents, teachers and professionals with educational tools to engage children to ensure that they understand the importance and positive impact of good oral health and to also prepare them for a visit to the dentist.
